Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome. But what if instead of saying, “Who am I to be here?” we said, “I know who I am and this is why I belong here.”
I am always interested in understanding those people that dig in and show up as the expert in their field. They are not always the ones with the most extensive education or even the most experience. But they do the work, know they have something to offer and most importantly, believe in themselves. Truthfully, I do not love the phrase “fake it ‘til you make it” but I do think that we all continuously build on what we have to offer if we just keep showing up.
I’ve been there repeatedly. I will be ready after I do this course. I will be ready after reading this book. I will be ready when I learn how to present the information better. I will be ready when I ensure my training program is the best it can be. I will be ready when I am in better shape. I will be ready when I buy new shoes…. The list goes on.
But you know what? I do know who I am. I know my strengths; I know my weaknesses and shortcomings. All of those together is why I belong here.
How about you? If you are struggling to realize your strengths, that’s where a coach, not to mention a few good friends, can help you out. I believe you belong anywhere you want to be. So, let’s get you there.
